Reds, oranges, and pinks often appear grayish or brownish to them. While cats can see blue, purple may blend into shades of blue or even appear gray, making it less distinguishable.
Can Cats See in the Dark?
Yes, cats are excellent at seeing in low-light conditions. They have a reflective layer in their eyes. It’s called the tapetum lucidum. Tapetum lucidum enhances their night vision. This layer reflects light that passes through the retina back into their eyes, which helps them to make the most out of minimal light. While they can’t see in complete darkness, they only need one-sixth of the lights. So when your cat moves around easily in the dark, it’s all thanks to this amazing adaptation!
Do cats recognize their owners’ faces?
With their unique vision, cats may not recognize fine details in faces as humans do. But they do recognize familiar shapes and movements.
